I groomed Taylor last night to prepare her for her upcoming bundles of joy. She got a bath, massage, and a belly shave. Like any pregnant gal, she enjoyed every minute of being pampered.  She was so relaxed, she actually fell asleep on my grooming table !

 

 

We took Taylor for an ultrasound on 11/11/11. We were thrilled to find out that she is expecting 8 puppies on December 8. We can’t wait to meet her fury bundles of joy. We are still accepting reservations for the upcoming litter.  Reserve your Australian Labradoodle puppy today!

Sunny is such a fitting name for our ray of sunshine. He bring so much happiness to our lives everyday with his amazing temperament. We love you Sunny!

I take Taylor on frequent trips to places around town.  Last night I took her with me to Pets Mart to pick up some dog treats and food. I was stopped repeatedly be customers in the store asking about Taylor. They all commented how beautiful and sweet she was in the store. I got to the check-out line and the entire grooming salon (six groomers) gathered around to ask questions about Taylor. Again, they were so impressed with her temperament. They also commented that they have never seen such a beautiful Labradoodle. I think that the fact that six people (that see dogs all day as their jobs) were so impressed with Taylor speaks volumes about Taylor. After our conversation (and seeing various American Labradoodles around town) I think that most Labradoodles they groom are American Labradoodles, not Australian Labradoodles. They commented how most “Labradoodles” they see look very similar to a poodle or lab. They also added that her coat quality is exceptional. At Arch View we know how spectacular Taylor is, but it is always nice to hear it from other people, especially people in the “dog” business.

Australian Labradoodles are the perfect family companion, especially with families that have children. We are so grateful to have Taylor in our family! She is a little “mother hen” with our kids. She follows the kids around all over the place. One of her favorite places to sleep is at the foot of the girls’ bed. We are so excited to see Taylor’s puppies with their new families. We know Taylor will pass on her great temperament to her upcoming puppies.

I receive questions about the size of miniature Australian Labradoodles frequently. I think it is hard to visualize a “miniature” Australian Labradoodle if you have never seen one before. Our dogs live in our home and are our family members; they spend no time in cages or kennels. Also, since we only have one litter at a time we are able to give each and every puppy the attention they deserve.  When considering a labradoodle it is important to do your homework. There are different types of labradoodles. You can buy a labradoodle that is a simple cross between a lab and poodle for less money than an Australian Labradoodle. But, be careful if you are considering a lab poodle cross.  Many lab x poodle mixes still shed (which is problematic especially for allergy suffers). They also have size restrictions: many doodles are large in size similar to that of a standard poodle. Also, many lab poodle mixes look very poodle like in appearance.  Australian Labradoodles have been carefully bred for temperament, appearance, coat quality (non-shedding), and size. There is much more consistency with Australian Labradoodles than lab poodle mixes. If you are making an investment for a family companion that will be around for 15 yrs., why not get the best?
