Darah,
It’s hard to believe that Bella is four months old already! She’s been a CHAMP Service Dog in Training for ten weeks now, and has grown in so many ways.
Not only is she more than double the size she was when you gave us her, but she is maturing into a fine, solid and steady dog. I continue to take her out with me whenever I can and she is just good as gold. She’s been to restaurants, the library, a nursing home, a parade, the doctor’s office, a training class, the mall, on the MetroLink – and every time she has done exactly what I’ve asked her to. She just trots along at my side and largely ignores the distractions, enthusiastically greets people when I give her permission to do so, and when I stop immediately settles down and rests under the table or my chair for as long as I need her to. (For example, she snoozed under the table in a restaurant earlier this week without a peep for almost three hours!)
But she’s all funny, sweet, wiggly puppy when she is “off duty” at home – galloping around the house and yard, playing keep-away with the toys with my little dog Leo, lounging on the back porch in this lovely spring weather, exploring new sights and sounds. She makes me laugh multiple times a day with her antics, and just looking at her fuzzy little face makes everyone smile.
You should be proud of your little one!
Attached are a couple of pictures that I took of her a few weeks ago.
All the best to you and your family,
Susan
